A Little About Lannie:

What medium do you usually create in and why?
My medium is typically poetry, although I dabble in flash fiction, and I’m currently writing a middle grade book.

What are you currently working on? OR Tell us about your last project and what you love about it!
I hate Zeus. He’s a prick of a fictional character who takes pride in hurting women, and it just makes me sick that men tend to idolize him. I cannot tell you how many guys I’ve known who named their dogs Zeus. Ugh. With that said, I’m working on a poetry manuscript that interweaves many of the Greek mythologies with personal stories of men who wouldn’t take no for an answer. It’s definitely a passion project.

What kinds of things do you find yourself returning to routinely as influences in your work?
My mother and I have a…challenging relationship, to say the least. Childhood was a wild ride, and I don’t think she really understands the extent of what I went through. I tend to write a lot about that.
